In 2000, a small group of men and women began to meet at the home of Carl and Maria Lodico to answer the question, If we were going to design the Ultimate Church, what would it be like? The result became the vision for what is now Ventura Community Church.

In 2001, a leadership team of 17 people under Pastor Carl Lodico's leadership was commissioned by Camarillo Community Church to begin laying the groundwork for a new Church.

On October 7, 2001, the first service at Ventura Community Church was held and we've been experiencing God's goodness and we have been growing ever since.

Pastor Carl Lodico served 7 years in ministry as Children's Pastor at Camarillo Community Church and having lived in Ventura County for over 14 years, he is familiar with the needs and styles of Ventura. He and his wife, Maria, have been married for 19 years and have five children.

Carl Lodico graduated from Multnomah Biblical Seminary in 1994 with a Masters of Divinity degree. Both he and his wife passionately pursue the vision of leading a Church where people love God, love people and reach the world with Christ.
