Pastor Matt was grew up in a Christian home and began his relationship with Christ at a young age being baptized in Thousand Oaks, CA at the age of 14. He graduated Westmont College in 2006 majoring in Biblical Languages and Music Theory. He joined the staff of Ventura Community in 2004 focusing on Creative Arts and Ministry Administration. He married his wife Kirsten in June of 2004 and together they are parents to a little boy, Aiden Taylor (yes, named after the guitar), born in late 2009.
